Best Destination Weddings: Destination Wedding Etiquette Destination Wedding EtiquetteWhat is the destination wedding etiquette? Over the last few years destination weddings have grown more popular than ever before. If you are considering a destination wedding, more than likely you can easily find someone to organize everything for you. No matter if you organize it yourself or have someone else do it for you, you need to know the proper etiquette for your destination wedding. You want to remember your guests. Can they afford to pay the cost of travel and lodging at the destination of your choosing? Try to find group rates and locate all the hotels so you can find a price to fit your budget. The bride and groom are responsible for the lodging of the guests. Many brides stress over getting the invitations sent out in time. It is less to worry about when you have someone else doing them, but if you have to do them yourself, this can be a big weight on your shoulders. Get these mailed out with enough time for all the guests to be prepared and have travel arrangements made. Only send an invitation to that person if you want them to actually be there. Why do many people send a wedding invitation because they ‘feel’ like they should? This is your big day. A Wedding is something that does not always happen more than once and you want it to be special. Why would you invite someone that you didn’t want to be there? Only invite those you wish to attend. Be prepared to face upset family members. Some members may not understand your reasoning of getting married somewhere other than home. Just keep all communication open and clear and do not worry. If they are upset, they will get over it eventually. You have way more important things to worry about, like your wedding! Consider having a reception back home even if you have one after the wedding. This way anyone that could not attend the destination wedding, can come to the reception at home. Not all people can travel for various reasons and if someone special couldn’t make it, this is a way to share your special wedding moment with them. Modern etiquette instructs the ways in which people interact and respect each other, thats why destination wedding etiquette is so important.
